Cosactive EcoStab is a natural powder mixture of an emulsifier and microcrystalline cellulose. This synergistic mixture stabilises O/W emulsions WITHOUT affecting the viscosity.
As formulators, we have made sure that this ingredient can be used as a problem solver without increasing the viscosity and without noticeably changing the texture.
Processing
- Disperse the powder at room temperature in the oil phase and heat it slowly up to 70-80°C.
- Heat the water phase separately to 70-80°C and add to the oil phase.
- Make sure that the temperature of this mixture remains above 70°C for at least 5 minutes and then it can be processed normally.
- As a “repair raw material”, it can also be added cold to finished products and then homogenised in an attempt to remedy the defect that has occurred in the product.
