Cosactive Phytosterol is a highly effective, plant-derived active ingredient for strengthening the skin barrier. The phytosterols it contains are similar in structure to the body’s own cholesterol compounds and play a key role in maintaining and restoring the skin’s integrity.

This ingredient supports the lipid structure of the stratum corneum, reduces transepidermal water loss (TEWL) and has a soothing effect on irritated skin. Cosactive Phytosterol is particularly effective in the care of sensitive, dry or stressed skin: it improves resistance, reduces redness and promotes a smooth, balanced complexion.

Number of test subjects: 30 (women & men, skin types II-III, sensitive & normal skin)

 

🎯 Aim of the investigation

Instrumental evaluation of the effectiveness of the cream in terms of:

  • Skin moisture
  • transepidermal water loss (TEWL)
  • Skin density

The application was carried out over 84 days exclusively on the right side of the test person’s face.
