Why an after-sun eye gel is so important
The eye area has only a very thin stratum corneum and hardly any lipid reserves of its own. UV radiation, heat and salt or chlorinated water can quickly lead to feelings of tightness, dryness and visible fatigue.

Effect of moisturising active ingredients
The After Sun Eye Gel contains a powerful moisturising complex of polyglutamic acid (PGA), fructooligosaccharides, sodium lactate and Cosactive NMF. These active ingredients bind water in the skin, increase elasticity and provide an immediate freshness effect.
Effect of plant extracts
Soothing plant extracts such as prickly pear extract and organic cucumber extract have a cooling, soothing and antioxidant effect. They help to reduce sun-induced redness and support the skin’s natural regeneration.
D-panthenol complements the formulation with its skin-soothing and repairing properties and helps to stabilise the skin barrier after UV exposure.
Effect of Cosactive NMF
Cosactive NMF specifically replaces components of the skin’s natural moisturising factor (NMF). Especially after sun exposure, when the NMF can be reduced, this active ingredient supports the restoration of the physiological moisture level.
In the After Sun Eye Gel, Cosactive NMF provides long-lasting hydration and a smooth skin feeling – without weighing down or greasing the skin.
Texture & application
The After Sun Eye Gel has a light, translucent gel texture that is quickly absorbed and leaves the skin feeling pleasantly cool. It is ideal:
- after sunbathing
- on holiday or after outdoor activities
- for tired, stressed eye areas
The gel can be gently applied around the eye area in the morning and evening and is also suitable for sensitive skin types.
Production in the laboratory
The raw materials are heated together to approximately 70 °C and homogenised. After a brief period of high-speed homogenisation, a stable gel structure is formed, which is cooled while being gently stirred. The result is a clear, stable after-sun eye gel with high sensory quality.
